Loumac Constructions is based in the Western Sydney area servicing all of Sydney specialising in commercial construction, commercial fit outs, commercial make-goods, and custom builds. Although being a recently established organisation, its owner/director has 15 years’ experience owning a construction company and over 20 years’ experience within the building industry. Majority of our work is received via word of mouth or repeat clients and reoccurring contract work. Loumac is currently experiencing rapid growth within the industry and is looking for a young and aspiring person to join the team as soon as possible.

The role

‍
We are looking for a 1st year carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. The role is predominately Monday to Friday; however, optional overtime and Saturdays are available. We are accepting candidates straight from school. This role requires day to day travel to various building sites. We are looking for someone who wants to be with us long term, has the right attitude and the willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities

• Interpreting floor plans
• Framework and installation
• Assisting and installing commercial fit outs and temporary infrastructure
• Use of hand and power tools
• Ensuring trucks are stocked, washed and ready to go

Our ideal candidate will process the following:

• Attention to detail and the ability to work within timelines
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Ability to follow instructions along with a ‘Can Do’ Attitude
• Manual Drivers licence (preferred)
• Self-motivated with excellent work ethic and common sense  
• White card
• Professional presentation when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
